Daily Snack

Daily snack

Every day when I pick William up at his Mitchell Child Development School, I always bring 3 items: a wet towel, a bottle of juice and either corn dog or cheese sandwich which is his favorite for the past month.  The first thing we do when we got inside the car is to take off his shoes, then he takes off his socks himself.  I use the wet towel to clean his face and hands.  When the weather is hot, wiping his face with a wet cool towel really helps to cool him down to make him feel better.  Then I’d ask him to drink the juice; once he has a few sips of juice then i’d let him eat the snack.  While eating snack, he gets to play around in my car.  We’d spend around at least 15 minutes in my car for him to eat snack (depends on how much time I have before I have to get back to work).  Usually he needs 40 minutes to almost finish the corn dog and the whole bottle of juice.

Meeting for William’s School Transition

Tuesday May 1, 2018.  We had a meeting with William’s current teacher Mrs. Hana Suh, speech Therapist Melissa, school district Meghan Yolles and his future teacher Heather Newman from Lincoln Elementary school to discuss about his transition to Summer and Fall school.  It was only 30 minute meeting; and here’s the schedule:

May 31, 2018: last day at Mitchell Child Development center

June 11 – July 7, 2018: Summer School (Extended School Year ESY) – Martin Elementary (939 Wilshire Ave, Santa Ana, CA 92707) – Teacher Heather Newman. From 8 AM – 12:15 PM.

Aug 13 – Dec 2018: Fall School – Lincoln Elementary (425 South Sullivan St., Santa Ana, 92704) – Teacher Heather Newman.  From 8 AM – 1 PM.  Need to REGISTER before the school starts (bring IEP, Birth Certificate, Immunization Record, Proof of Home Address).  William will go to this school until 5th grade.

Our boy is growing up fast, can’t believe he’s going to kindergarten!

After School

William is 4 years old.

1 PM.  It was raining this morning, and now it’s kind of cool so I dressed William up with jacket and fleece-line pant.  Today I brought him a corn dog; he finished about 1/3 of it; drank all the juice from the bottle and asked for more juice so I gave him the bottle that I packed for his daycare.  He only had a few sips from this bottle though.

On the way to the day care, he felt asleep.  With this cool weather, I want to sleep too.  I wish that I don’t have to work so that I can drive him home, so that he can sleep in his comfortable bed.

Love you son!

It’s Broken

Sunday evening, Dinner time.  As usual, William sat on the chair on my left while we’re having dinner.  He suddenly stood up, walked over to my right side, picked up the ceramic bowl and threw it on the floor; the bowl is broken into small pieces.  Then he said, “It’s broken.”

He’s been using that phrase a lot, not sure where he learned it from.  He’s been watching videos of the lego blocks, building, etc. that collapsed and point  to it then said, It’s broken.  There’s occasions where he tried to break the wheels of his small car toys and said it’s broken.

Obviously this has a very bad influence on him; I think to him it’s fun to watch things that are breaking apart.  Maybe I should block the youTube videos that he’s been watching about broken things.

Frog’s Bounce House

Sunday evening.  William didn’t take a nap; and he looked bored so I took him to the Frog’s Bounce House in Fountain Valley, about 11 minutes away from our house.  They charged me $10.00 this time, not sure why (Their website says after 6 PM, it’s $8:00 and no fees for parent).  It’s Sunday so they close at 7PM, which means we only had 1 hour.

William still loves to dance around on the laser floor catching things projected on the floor.   Then he went on to the bounce house near by but too bad it’s for 3 years old and under only so the lady worked there asked me to take him out.  I told him to go to the other ones but he kept going back to this one.
