Another Session with Ms. Annie

Tues afternoon.  This week ABEST sent Ms. Annie to come for William for the whole week; reason being RCOC changed their requirement for ABA Service staffs so Ms. Han and Mr. Quang are no longer eligible to teach William.

Ms. Nhi (in dress) is supervising. She’s due on Sept for a baby boy.

William Cried At the Daycare

Wednesday morning.  I dropped William at the Children’s World preschool daycare (it’s summer break at Mitchell so we send William to the daycare full day for 2 weeks, until Mitchell school starts on Aug 14th), and he started to cry when I opened the door.

He didn’t want to go in!  I felt bad because that means that he doesn’t want to stay; there must be something that he doesn’t like about this school but he can’t talk about it.

He’s been going to this daycare for more than a year, so I find it very strange that he cried today.

Hopefully his time of staying here is fun;  I wish they can share their camera videos so that we can watch how’s he doing at school.

RCOC Gave us extension

Now that we have Medi-Cal, our RCOC Service Coordinator  Kim Than told me that we need to get Medi-Cal pays for ABA services.  Also, She wants us to send her a letter from Tim’s HR saying that we will remove William out of Tim’s policy with Anthem Blue Cross.  So we did.

Usually she has meeting with Behavioral Specialist on Fridays; so today she emailed me saying that they approved the contract extension between RCOC and ABEST so that William can continue to receiving ABA services while waiting for Medi-cal to approve.  And the new contract ends 10/31/2017, which means we have 2 months to get approval from Medi-Cal.

Now I can rest my mind without worrying about making sure William still can continue receiving ABA services until the next 2 months.

Pretend City Children’s Museum

William would not want to leave this post at first.

Fri afternoon.   The place offered free admission from 5 PM – 7 PM so we thought why not go?

At first William was so attached to the traffic lights; he would not to go anywhere else.  Tim pulled the little car up to him but he refused to ride; he kept dancing around the posts.  Finally we had to forcibly carried him out of that area and placed him the beach area, that is when he’s started to explore around.

He especially loves the construction place with lots of pvc pipes; and also the gas station; he tried to pump gas.

Nice evening at the beach

7 pm departure.  8 pm arrived to Huntington Beach pier after waiting in a long line for In & Out Burger.

William didn’t want to go down to the sand and play with water so Tim took him to the grass area where people play  drums .  He seemed to enjoy the sound of music a lot. W ran around with a happy face.   It’s a bit windy but not cold if you put on a light jacket.  I sat down on the concrete step,  feeling the light wind on my face, listening to the drums sounds and watching W running around with a smile on his face with Tim following W to make sure he is safe and not out of sight; I’m glad we decided to go !

We left around 9:30.  On the way home we fed William In and Out cheese burger.
