Nice Weather to Be Out

William sat on the stairs looking sad while Lydia trying to give him juice.

Saturday Morning, it’s a nice day after the heat wave last week so I decided to take William out to the park to play in the playground.  Mrs. Lydia, William’s caregiver from GSG came in separate car.

I intended to leave William there with Lydia to go to Mom Supermarket which is only 1 block away to get some stuffs to cook Bun Rieu.  I instructed Lydia to keep an eye on him always and let him drink the juice every 10 minutes.  On the way to the car I changed my mind, my gut is telling me not to leave the boy to a stranger so I just moved my car nearer to the playground and then stood under the shade to watch William from a distance.   I watched for 10 minutes then I don’t see him walking around any more so I walked to the playground.  I found William sat on the step, looking sad and tired; Lydia gave him the juice bottle but he refused.  Then he walked few more steps up and lied down!  I came to pick him up, he looked so sad.  I gave him a hug, he held on to me; Lydia handed me the juice and I fed him; he drank it.   From that moment on he would not let me go. I tried to put him down so that we could walk to the car but he refused to be let down.  It struck me that William felt sad because he didn’t see me around.  Even though Lydia was there but she’s a total stranger to him.
